Apple crumble is possibly the most delicious way to enjoy apples- especially at this time of year when apples are super affordable!
Give this apple crumble a go- either make one big crumble or portion into little ramekins for cute single serves.
Makes 6 individual apple crumbles.
3 large apples (granny smith are best) peeled and chopped
1 tsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp lemon juice
For the crumble:
1 cup muesli/ granola/ whole oats
1/2 cup flour
2 Tbsp butter- soft
1 Tbsp maple syrup
Method:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
Drizzle lemon juice over apples and set aside.
In a small pan on medium heat- melt butter and add apples and cinnamon then cook for 5 minutes.
In a bowl- mix together the crumble ingredients.
Split the apple evenly into ramekins then top with the crumble mix.
Bake for ~15-20 minutes or until golden.
