My partner used to say he hated salmon- until he let me cook this beaut for him. It's nothing fancy, totally easy, and is sure to impress.
Serves 2:
Ingredients:
- 2x raw salmon fillets
Glaze:
- 1x level Tbsp crushed ginger (fresh is fine too but this won't work with ground ginger)
- 3x Tbsp soy sauce
- 1x heaped Tbsp honey (melted)
- Optional- sprinkle salmon with sesame seeds after glazing, before placing in the oven
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius (fan bake)
Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the salmon fillets onto this
Mix the glaze ingredients together and rub over the salmon
Bake in the oven for ~20-25 mins (until golden on top).
Remove from oven and serve straight away.
NB: If you have time in the morning- put your salmon into a snaplock bag and pour the marinade in with it. Shake it up and leave in the fridge. When it comes time to bake it- put the salmon onto the baking tray and pour the remaining marinade left in the snaplock bag over the salmon.
Enjoy!
